Kairos. I first heard the word in a sermon on Esther. It’s a Greek word that means opportune time or fitting season. In Esther 4:14, Esther’s cousin practiced some tough love and told her that she had been placed in her position as queen for “such a time as this,” so she could save her people from annihilation.
My name is Brianna and I want to welcome you to Living Kairos. When I first heard the word kairos, I was struggling with infertility (read about my journey here). I was intrigued by the idea that I was placed in that season of life for a purpose. Since then, I have determined to find my purpose in every season of life.
I began Living Kairos with the goal of sharing my life experiences with depression, self-harm, marriage and relationships, infertility, parenting, and more. It’s my hope that as you follow my messy story you would see how God’s hand has guided my life and brought me to where I am today. I believe that each of us has our own kairos moment. Every stage of life is our opportune time and we have been prepared for such a time as this. Check out this post for more info about kairos moments.
A little about me
I’m a Christian, wife to an amazing husband, stay-at-home mama to Little Man, writer/editor/proofreader, and amateur artist. I have a double Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication and Journalism with a concentration in multi-media. I’m passionate about reading and writing, and I’m thrilled to be able to share with you. My hobbies include cooking, painting and hand-lettering, Bible journaling, and playing with my fur babies (three dogs and two cats). I love organization and scheduling, and have a serious addiction to planners and their accessories.
I pray that as you share my journey you discover your own kairos moments and are challenged to live your life for such a time as this.
