At Living Kairos, we believe the privacy of our visitors is extremely important. This privacy policy document describes in detail the types of personal information that is collected and recorded by Living Kairos and how we use it.

Information We Collect and How It’s Used

Information You Voluntarily Submit to Us

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily submit to us such as your name and/or email address. Example: you may voluntarily submit information to the website by leaving a comment, subscribing to our newsletter, or submitting a contact form. Additionally, for certain purchases, we may ask you to create a user profile, which would allow you to create a username and password. We store the username, but your password is not visible to us.

We automatically collect certain information about you and the device with which you access the website so we can improve the performance of our website. If you leave a comment at Living Kairos, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Comments

When you leave comments at Living Kairos, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact Forms

Living Kairos saves your name and email address when you complete the contact form found at https://livingkairos.com/contact/. Completing this contact form does not subscribe you to any newsletter list. It is just for the purpose of you submitting feedback.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on Living Kairos may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Third-Party Use of Personal Information

  • Drip – this service is used for delivery of email updates and newsletters. We store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications.
  • Google – this service is used to display targeted ads. Google’s use of cookie enables it to serve ads to our site’s visitors based upon your visit to Living Kairos and other sites on the Internet.

At this time, your personal information is not shared with any other third-party applications. This list may be amended from time to time at our sole discretion.

You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information on their practices as well as for instructions about how to opt-out of certain practices. Living Kairos’s privacy policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, such other advertisers or web sites. Living Kairos may engage in affiliate marketing, which is done by embedding tracking links into the website. Newsletter

On the website, you may choose to subscribe to our newsletter, which may be used for advertising purposes. Any and all newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. Sensitive Personal Information

At no time should you submit sensitive personal information to the website in any way including the comments, email, or forms. This includes your social security number (SSN), information regarding race or ethnicity, political opinions, religious beliefs, health information, criminal background, and trade union memberships. Children’s Information

We believe it is important to provide added protection for children online. We encourage parents and guardians to spend time online with their children to observe, participate in, and monitor and guide their online activity. Living Kairos does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of sixteen (16). If a parent or guardian believes that we have personally identifiable information of a child under the age of sixteen (16) in our database, please contact us immediately at brianna@livingkairos.com and we will use our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

Restricted Areas

Access to certain areas of the website may be restricted. Living Kairos reserves the right to restrict areas of the website at its sole discretion.

Some restricted areas of the website may be made available to you as a registered user. To register, you are required to create a user profile, which may include a username and password. You agree to keep your username and password confidential. If you suspect your password has been compromised, you must notify Living Kairos immediately at brianna@livingkairos.com. Living Kairos will not be liable for any loss caused by the unauthorized use of your account; however, you may be liable to Living Kairos or other third parties for any losses incurred due to such unauthorized use.

Living Kairos may disable your username and password at its sole discretion. Living Kairos reserves the right to modify methods for registration and access levels of registered users from time to time.

Online Privacy Policy Only

This privacy policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website and regarding information shared and/or collected there. This policy does not apply to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
