I’m Brianna and I am so glad you’re here! I’m a Christian, wife to an amazing husband, mom, writer/editor/proofreader, and amateur artist.

I help moms find purpose in the everyday moments of life by providing tools to help you stay organized, tips to grow your marriage, and encouragement as you embrace motherhood.

I desire to encourage women who are in a similar stage of life and (hopefully) share some wisdom to those who are where I’ve already been.

What is kairos?

Kairos is a Greek word meaning opportune time or fitting season. In Esther 4, Queen Esther learned of a plot to destroy her people. She was afraid to approach the king because in doing so, she risked being sentenced to death. Esther’s cousin, Mordecai, practiced some tough love and told her that God placed her as queen for “such a time as this” (v. 14). God orchestrated the events that led her to be chosen as the queen at the opportune time so she could save her people from annihilation.

I believe that each of us has our own kairos moment. Every stage of life is our opportune time and we have been prepared for such a time as this. Now, just because I believe this truth doesn’t mean I don’t struggle to understand and live it out.

Dealing with changing seasons

I struggled a lot in my life with adjusting to changing seasons, even though I know that the next season is going to be good. When I graduated high school and had to leave my friends and the setting I was comfortable in, I struggled moving on to college. After I graduated college and became an alumna of my sorority, I struggled with leaving that life behind. And when I became a mom and left a job I loved to stay home, I struggled to adjust to that change in my identity.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my Little Man more than life itself, and I am so excited and blessed to be able to stay home to raise him. But there is still a part of me that struggles with the transition and missing my co-workers and the young professional lifestyle. I constantly remind myself that this, right now, is my kairos moment, and God has me here for a purpose.

I hope that as you read about my journey in my faith, marriage, and family you would discover your kairos moment and live for such a time as this. Feel free to get in touch to share how you are living in your opportune time or just to say “Hey!” I’d love to hear from you.

    1. Hi Evie!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post! I absolutely love the book of Esther, too. She was such a strong woman of faith and a fantastic role model. I think she’s definitely the epitome of “doing it scared.”
